Kim Kardashian has formally filed for divorce in a bid to end her six years marriage with Kanye West.
While confirming the development to TMZ, a representative for the reality star said the divorce was “amicable,” and that Kim is requesting for joint legal and physical custody of the couple’s four kids, and Kanye is “fine” with the joint custody arrangement.
Also, it was reported that the couple is okay with co-parenting together.
It was also reported that there is a prenup and that the couple has reached a property settlement agreement since.
According to TMZ, the document was filed by Laura Wasser and it does not list a separation date.
The news came after E! News was told by a source that their relationship had hit the rock after months of private problems.
An insider told E! News that: “It’s gotten to the point where they haven’t spent time together as a married couple in months.
“They’ve seen each other for the sake of the kids but have been living separately. Kim knows the marriage is over. She’s known for a while.”
Kim and Kanye went public with their relationship in April 2012 and married in May 2014. Their union has so far produced four children.
