Let your behavior change, modeled by your new mind. This is the only way to discover the will of God and know that is good, what it is that God wants, what is the perfect thing to do. Romans 12:2

Christ’s vision for the world is that every one of us will have abundance of life (John 10:10), achieving our fullest potential and fullest expression of our humanity. The fulfillment of this vision begins when we get to know Jesus, thinking and acting as he does, and when we accept God’s loving plan of salvation for ourselves, for every man and woman in this world, and for the whole of creation.

When we follow the example of Jesus and embrace God’s plan, the beauty in each of us will shine out and enrich our lives and those of others. The world will be a green pasture for all of God’s children, regardless of color, sex, religion, ability, age, economic status.

Keeping Christ’s vision in our hearts will provide strength for our days and hope for our world. Even when we do not understand our lives or the meaning of this life, we live in trust, praying that we do God’s will and knowing that life is worth living because it is a gift from God. Jesus shows us that the people we encounter in life are not enemies to be conquered, but brothers and sisters to be loved, as we all are children of the One True God.

Keeping Christ’s vision for the world close to us helps us to know what is good, what God wants for our souls. Life is lived fully and truly, as Jesus’ life shows us, when it is given away in love to others.

Questions for Meditation

Am I in competition with those around me? Can I see them today as brothers and sisters in Christ? What does Jesus want for this world? What does Jesus want for me in this world?
