Famous Canadian musician, The Weeknd and newcomer Roddy Ricch led recent nominations for the 2020 American Music Awards while first-time nominee, Megan Thee Stallion bagged female artists’ highest nominations.
The 22-year-old Ricch, ‘The Box’ rapper from California, and The Weeknd bagged eight nominations apiece, which include the top award – artist of the year – where they both will slug it out with against Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift and Post Malone.
Stallion bagged five nominations which include best new artist and collaboration of the year for her scintillating summer single ‘WAP’ with Cardi B.
The awards will be given in Los Angeles on November 22.
