Images of a popular Ugandan gospel singer, Julie Mutesasira’s wedding to a woman in Canada has gone viral days after her former husband, Pastor Steven Mutesasira remarried.

The news is now topical issue among Ugandans on social media.

Reports have it that Julie Mutesasira and Pastor Mutesasira were married for many years and the union produced three children which include Esther and Ezekiel (the winners of 2019’s first season of East Africa’s Got Talent).

The couple divorced in 2016. After their divorce, Julie relocated to Canada and left her children with their father.

Recently, Pastor Mutesasira, a senior preacher at Appointed Upper Room Church Kamwokya, wed his new wife Joice in an elaborate wedding at Faith Power Centre, Entebbe.

The pastor posted photos of his wedding and an emotional letter to his new wife saying that they have now become one entity for the lifetime.

He wrote: “An excellent wife is the crown of her husband, but she, who shames him, is as rottenness in his bones (Proverbs 12:4). Marriage is a life-long covenant between a man and a woman to live as one flesh, for their mutual benefits, and for the bearing of children.

“The relation of husband-wife is the most beautiful relational of the world. It’s the relation by which two different people turn into one entity for the lifetime.”

Few days after his post, images of his former wife, Julie Mutesasira’s wedding to a fellow woman surfaced.
