Former Super Eagles striker, Obafemi Martins, has joined Chinese Super League side, Wuhan FC after signing a one-year contract.
The 35-year-old striker joined Wuhan on a free transfer after his contract with Shanghai Shenhua which commenced in February was terminated last week.
Reports in China reveal that Shanghai Shenhua was not happy with Obafemi’s performances and had to release him.
Currently, Wuhan are fourth in the CSL Group B table with 16 points from a total of 11 games.
Wuhan will slug it out with Chongqing Dangdai Lifan in their next match and Martins is expected to be in the starting line up.
