Edo State Executive Governor, Godwin Obaseki has been declared winner of the Edo Governorship election which took place recently.
Obaseki of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) won the contest after amassing 307, 955 votes to triumph over his closest contender who is the All Progressives Congress’ flag bearer, Pastor Ize-Iyamu who polled 223, 619 votes.
After the results were announced and Obaseki was declared winner of the election, the re-elected governor gave his victory speech.
In his speech, he thanked God for his grave and thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for giving INEC free hand to operate during the election. He also thanked his Party and his supporters for the unwavering support they gave him.
He promised to continue with his goods works that will make Edo State great again.
