Paris Saint-Germain forward, Neymar has been slammed with a two-match ban after he was given a red card in PSG’s Ligue 1 game against Marseille.
Neymar was one of the five players that collected red card during the match after a mini brawl occured shortly before the end of the match. VAR review revealed that Neymar punched the back of Marseille defender, Alvaro Gonzalez.
However, Neymar has claimed that he was racially abused by his opponent and pleaded with the authorities to use VAR to investigate while Gonzalez has denied Neymar’s racial allegations.
The Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) has said it would investigate Neymar’s accusation.
