Bayern Munich qualified for 2019/2020 Champions League final after beating Lyon 3-0 during the semi final match. That victory means Canadian superstar, Alphonso Davies has recorded yet another special accolade.
Davies has become the first Canadian Men’s international player to ever play in a Champions League final. It should be noted that he is not the first Canadian to accomplish the feat as Owen Hargreaves was the first Canadian to do so. However, Davies will become the first player of the Canadian men’s national team to play in the final as Hargreaves was eligible to play for other countries and he decided to play for England.
Bayern Munich will take on Paris Saint-Germain in final match which is expected to be a great match which will star Davies against the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Neymar Junior, Angel Di Maria and so on.
If Bayern Munich wins the Champions League this season with, they will pay the Vancouver Whitecaps €1 million owing to a clause in his contract.
