Popular Hollywood actor, Cuba Gooding Jr. is facing fresh sexual assault allegations in a new lawsuit.
According to Variety, the 52-year-old actor was alleged to have raped a victim two times in 2013 inside his New York City hotel room.
The lawsuit, filed publicly recently in Manhattan federal court, alleged that the Oscar-winning actor attacked the woman after meeting him at a Greenwich Village VIP lounge.
The woman claims the Cuba invited her to his hotel room and he started to undress in front of her. The woman accused the actor of blocking the door, pushing her onto the bed and raping her twice.
She is taking legal action against Cuba for an alleged “crime of violence” that was committed on the basis of gender and she seeks a trial by jury. Also, she is seeking unspecified compensation.
Cuba’s attorney, Mark Heller, denied the claims made by the accuser while talking to PEOPLE.
Heller said: “The allegations against Cuba Gooding Jr. are false and perjurious. There was absolutely no conduct committed in a criminal nature as alleged.
“We expect the case to be dismissed. It was an alleged incident that took place over seven years ago with no criminal complaint at the time.”
This is the latest sexual assault accusation against Cuba Gooding Jr., who has been slammed with six counts of sexual abuse and forcible touching. If he is convicted, he will spend up to a year in prison.
