The Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika has announced that International flights will resume in Nigeria from Saturday, August 29, 2020.
The Minister made this announcement recently on his official Twitter handle.
According to Sirika, resumption of flights will first occur at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos and the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
While announcing the resumption, Sirika tweeted: ”Glad to announce the resumption of international flights from the 29th of August, 2020. Beginning with Lagos and Abuja as we did with the domestic flight resumption. Protocols and procedures will be announced in due course. We thank you for your patience.”
The airports were shut down in March as part of measures to curb the spread of Coronavirus.
