Lionel Messi has been named as world’s richest player in ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo.
In a ranking released by France Football for the top 10 best-paid players in 2019, Messi who earns £500k per week made a whopping £120million last year, £11m higher than what Ronaldo earned in 2019.
Ronaldo who earns £688k per week made £109million last year.
The two are the only players to cross the £100m mark on the list which was comprised their wages, bonuses, endorsements, commercial revenue, and revenue from other streams.
PSG star, Neymar made £87m in 2019 while Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale made £35.45m.
