Napoli have confirmed the signing of Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen from Lille Football in a deal reported to be around €50 million.
After his exploits in Ligue 1 last season, a lot of European clubs were interested signing him. He was linked with Arsenal and Liverpool but he will play for Napoli next season.
The Nigerian forward moved to Europe in 2017 when he joined Wolfsburg in Germany before signing for Charleroi in Belgium. He moved to Lille from Charleroi and continued with his impressive scoring form.
While reacting to the move on his Twitter handle, Osimhen tweeted: “Can’t wait to put on this iconic jersey,thank you for the warm welcome @sscnapoli 🔵⚪️ #forzanapolisempre”
