Few weeks ago, 24% of publicly traded Shenzhen Kangtai Biological Products Co. was transferred to Yuan Liping after she divorced the company’s Chairman, Du Weimin. As the shares of the Chinese vaccine maker increased by 39% over the past month, Yuan’s stake now worths $4.7 billion, as such, Yuan presently ranks among top 500 richest people in the world, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
The stock market of China has been on a tremendous growth. It added $1.7 trillion in value in one month as the CSI 300 Index increased by 20% with drugmakers like Kangtai ranking among investors’ favorites. The stock closed at a peak recently after recording more than double since December. That pushed the market value of the company to over $19 billion.

She is the Vice General Manager of Beijing Minhai Biotechnology Co., a subsidiary of Kangtai. Her filing reveals she was a Director of Kangtai between May 2011 and August 2018.
