Nanavati Super Speciality Hospital has said in a statement that popular Bollywood actor, Amitabh Bachchan is stable with mild coronavirus symptoms and that he is currently admitted in the hospital’s isolation unit in Mumbai.
The Health Minister of Maharashtra, Rajesh Tope revealed that Amitabh Bachchan and his son, Abhishek Bachchan who were revently admitted to a hospital after testing positive for COVID-19 have gone throughe rapid antigen testing.
Tope said that the test results of other members of the Bachchan family that were also tested for novel coronavirus will be out soon.
While announcing that he has tested positive for coronavirus disease, Amitabh Bachchan tweeted: “I have tested CoviD positive .. shifted to Hospital .. hospital informing authorities .. family and staff undergone tests , results awaited .. All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested.”
The Prime Minster of India held a review meeting to analyse the situation of COVID-19 in various parts of India and examine the level of preparedness of all the state’s in the country. After the meeting, the Prime Minister tweeted: “Priority is close monitoring and guiding the containment works in regions where the infection rate is high.”
