The Federal Ministry of Aviation has announced that Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, and Murtala Mohammed Airport in Lagos will commence flight on July 8, 2020. The Ministry also disclosed that date will be decided for international travel.
According to the Ministry, airports in Port Harcourt, Owerri, and Maiduguri will reopen on July 11 while other airports in the country will restart operations on July 15.
The Ministry said: “Passengers looking to travel out of the country will have to wait a bit longer as the dates for the restart of international flights into and out of the country will be announced later.”
The Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika appreciated Nigerians and stakeholders in the aviation industry “who have had to cope with the adverse effects of the flight suspension” for their cooperation in ensuring the country resumes operations in the airports.
