The government of Yukon is easing some border restriction measures imposed to halt the spread of COVID-19 in the area.
As Yukon commences the second phase of its lockdown plan, residents of Yukon, British Columbia, Northwest Territories and Nunavut are permitted to enter the territory without having to self-isolate if they can confirm they have not travelled anywhere in the last 14 days.
Yukon reveals they have displayed good results in halting the spread of coronavirus.
Every other Canadian resident can enter Yukon starting from Wednesday but they must self-isolate for 14 days when they arrive with a few exceptions granted to critical workers and people that are travelling through the territory.
The territorial government says the exemption from self-isolation may be modified to include other places based on their number of cases, outbreaks and mitigation measures.
There have been no new recorded cases of COVID-19 in Yukon since April 20 and the eleven people that tested positive have recovered.
