The death of George Floyd has triggered a revolution all over the United States and all over the world. A lot of people have come out to demand the end of police brutality, beginning of equality and justice for every individual. Though George has become a martyr of sorts, people may not remember that he was just a normal man. George had a family of children with the 6-year-old Gianna being his youngest child.
Gianna “GiGi” Floyd is a child who recently lost her father and the world is trying to fill the void left by her father. Celebrities like Kanye West have stepped up to offer her a full tuition, universities have offered her scholarships and she now owns a part of Disney. According to People, this was a kind gift from Barbara Streisand to GiGi.
GiGi thanked Barbara for the generous gift on her official Instagram page, when Barbara made a post of Gigi holding up the official paperwork and the certificate she received in the mail. Also, Barbara sent her two of her albums.
Like her father, GiGi is making a global impact. Recently, she appeared in an Instagram video with Stephen Jackson, a retired NBA player who shares a friendship bond with the whole Floyd family. Gigi was seen riding on Stephen’s shoulders, yelling “ daddy changed the world.” Even that tender age, GiGi fully understands what is happening around her and she will remember her father’s legacy.
