Three days after he went missing on Venice Beach, former WWE star, Shad Gaspard has been confirmed dead after his body washed ashore in California.

The Nigerian Canadian News gathered that the former superstar and his son were swimming at the beach when they were pulled out to sea by a strong rip current.

We gathered that lifeguards successfully rescued the 10-year-old boy first but were unable to save Gaspard, who was declared missing shortly after.

It was stated that the former wrestler’s son, Aryeh, was pulled from the water in good condition and did not require hospitalization.

Multiple reports had it that Shad instructed the lifeguards to save Aryeh first, which ultimately left him struggling in the water.

We gathered that after a two-day unsuccessful search, the US Coast Guard suspended its search for the 39-year-old and 24 hours later, his body was found washed up near Venice Pier.

The heartbreaking news was confirmed by Los Angeles County lifeguard. He left behind his wife, Siliana, and his 10-year-old son, Aryeh.

We recall that in WWE Gaspard formed part of the Cryme Time tag-team, working with his close friend JTG. The pair made a number of appearances on both the SmackDown and RAW rosters before Shad went on to pursue a successful career in Hollywood.

According to Wikipedia, Shad Gaspard (January 13, 1981 – May 17, 2020) was an American professional wrestler and actor. He was best known for his time with WWE where he performed under his real name and teamed with JTG as a member of Cryme Tyme.

After departing WWE in 2010, Gaspard pursued an acting career that included several films and television roles such as Think Like a Man Too, Get Hard, The Game, and From Dusk till Dawn: The Series. He was also the co-creator of the 2011 graphic novel Assassin & Son and provided motion capture for video games, most notably for the protagonist Kratos in the 2018 edition of God of War.
