No fewer than18 Nurses have tested positive for Coronavirus disease in Kano state.
This disclosure was made by Kano state chairman of National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives, Ibrahim Mohammed. While disclosing this information to newsmen, Mohammed said 86 nurses were sampled and according to the result, 18 nurses have tested positive.
Mohammed made it known that 9 of the 18 nurses are from National Orthopedic Hospital, Dala, 7 are from Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital while are 2 from state hospitals.
He begged the government to provide Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for health professionals as this provision will enable them discharge their duties effectively.
In the same vein, Kano state chapter of the Nigeria Medical Association has confirmed that 34 of its members tested positive to coronavirus disease in the state.
