Our message this month is one laced with promises of joy, gladness and cheerful feasts, as the Word of God says we shall all have cause to celebrate and will relish the Lord’s goodness in our lives. The only caveat is that we must endeavour to be holy, righteous, upright, patient and long-suffering, for us to key into the bountiful promises of God and His blessings that are available for us through His Grace. Remember, you will eat the fat of the land once you are willing and obedient (Isaiah 1:19), which are the key words you and I must hold unto this month.
Correlative, once you stay on God’s track this month, His blessings will locate you. That’s the encouragement we get from Zechariah 8:19, which states: “Thus says the LORD of hosts, ‘The fast of the fourth, the fast of the fifth, the fast of the seventh and the fast of the tenth months will become joy, gladness, and cheerful feasts for the house of Judah; so love truth and peace.’
As the 10th month of 2019 gathers steam,. We must not forget that it represents the period of independence for our dear country Nigeria. That, by extension, also translates into freedom for you and I from all entanglement o the Devil, and liberation from the chains of poverty, disease,
The spirit of liberation moving for you and I in this month of independence is buttressed by the words of Esther 2:16 and 17: “So Esther was taken unto king Ahasuerus into his house royal in the tenth month, which is the month Tebeth, in the seventh year of his reign. And the king loved Esther above all the women, and she obtained grace and favour in his sight more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti.”
By extension, the decree for you is that October 2019 is your month of elevation into riches, time for deserved recognition, freedom from stagnation induced by the enemy and your days to shine in royalty, through the garbs of affluence provided by God’s favour and grace.
In the same vein, we are encouraged to expect the manifestation of all things bright and beautiful that you must have been yearning for an praying earnestly for over the past nine months. October 2019 is your month of all declarations turning into reality. That is what we are assured of in Genesis 8:5, which reveals: “The water decreased steadily until the tenth month; in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, the tops of the mountains became visible.”
I decree in the Mighty Name of Jesus that every good thing that has been hidden from your reach will be become visible to you this month, and you shall achieve that big desire that has been burning in your heart all through the past months of this year. Now is the time of your miracle, and God will surely complete the perfection of His blessings in your life this 10th month. Amen.
Further encouragement for you and I in this month of October 2019 is the long line of symbolic spiritual value and importance attached to number 10. Ten is viewed as a complete and perfect number, made up of 4 for physical creation and 6 for Man. As such, 10 signifies responsibility from all human beings to God’s presence in life and our appreciation of complete divine order.
It should be noted that the words “God said” are repeated 10 times in Genesis chapter one, to buttress His creative power. Furthermore, God gave the 10 Commandments to Moses to show the responsibility we have in keeping to His desires, while a tithe is one-tenth of your earnings and a testimony of faith in the Lord. The Passover Lamb was selected on the 10th day (Exodus 12:3), as was Jesus, who died to take away all our sins (John 12:28 – 29; 1 Corinthians 5:7).
However, to get the manifestation of this decree, we must remember not to be rebellious against God. That is what we get from Ezekiel 24 versus 1-3 declare: “Again in the ninth year, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, the word of the LORD come unto me, saying, Son of man, write you the name of the day, even of this same day: the king of Babylon set himself against Jerusalem this same day. And utter a parable unto the rebellious house, and say unto them, Thus says the Lord GOD; Set on a pot, set it on, and also pour water into it.”
Number ten also serves to remind us about punishment that awaits those who go contrary to God’s commandments. That is why God sent 10 plagues to Egypt, in order to free his people from the taskmaster, in the same way you will be freed from the bondage of sin in this 10th month of independence. Remember Nile River turned into blood, plague of frogs, plague of lice, swarms of beasts, plague on the cattle, boils, great storm of hail, thunder and lightning, locusts, darkness over the entire land for three days and death of the firstborn of both man and beast.
These all serve as warning about the punishment that awaits sinners, those who fail to repent before they die. However, God asks us a rhetorical question in Ezekiel 18:23 (YLT), which reads: “Do I at all desire the death of the wicked? An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah; Is it not in his turning back from his way — And he hath lived?”
That is the conclusion of the matter. An affirmation of what you stand to gain, once you hold firmly unto the promises of God in this 10th month of 2019, and His blessings will overflow upon you in multiples. So shall it be, in the Mighty Name of Jesus. AMEN
