The Eagles are expected to get a rousing welcome on arrival, just as the Brazilians who were mobbed by fans in the early hours of Monday in Singapore.
More than 200 Nigerians will be welcoming the Super Eagles when they arrive Singapore today, ahead of Sunday’s friendly against Brazil.
The 23-man squad billed for the clash will storm the Asian city alongside other technical members and top officials of the Nigeria Football Federation.
Vice President of Nigerians in Diaspora Organisation, Singapore Chapter, Dr. Jonathan Obaje,said the country currently accommodates 200 Nigerians.
Singaporean Jansen Foo has been appointed as the referee for the friendly. Foo would be assisted by his compatriots, Abdul Hannan (assistant referee 1), Ong Chai Lee (assistant referee 2) and G. Letchman (fourth official). The match will be the first clash between the two countries since Brazil trashed the Super Eagles 3-0 in a friendly game at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abuja, on June 2003.
Brazil will meet Senegal on 10 October before meeting the Nigerians three days later.
