(NC) Finding great tools to enhance our wellness is easier than ever with the wealth of technology at our fingertips. Here are 5 apps and technologies featured on Lumino Health aiming to make a difference you can feel:

LIFT Session. Regardless of your experience level, going to the gym can be a challenge. Whether you’re looking to tone, build or improve your cardiovascular health, this app has you covered. It offers the experience of a fitness studio with the convenience of virtual online streaming. With group fitness classes or live personalized training, you can work out and feel supported along the way.

QSun. Though the summer may be wrapping up, UV rays will continue to affect your skin throughout the year. QSun is a wearable device that tracks your sun exposure. It will notify you when it’s time to reapply sunscreen or step indoors. You can synch the device with an app to help you track the sun throughout the day.

Maple. As you aim to make the most of these last days of summer, this app could become your best health-care buddy. It’s a virtual health-care app that provides on-demand access to licensed Canadian doctors 24/7. It allows you to spend more time recovering than waiting at the doctor’s office. Maple offers virtual medical advice, referrals, prescriptions and sick notes.

Big White Wall. An online community for mental health support is only a click away. Members can access mental health assessment tools and courses in a peer-to-peer community that trained counsellors (wall guides) monitor for safety. In Ontario, Big White Wall is available for free.

Stop Breathe & Think. This mindfulness app allows you to check in with your emotions and recommends personalized activities tuned to how you feel. It includes guided meditations, yoga, acupressure and relaxing audio recordings, or soundscapes. You can tune in to yourself and try new ways to manage your mental health.

Establishing a healthy lifestyle can be a tough. But smaller changes are easy to make and can lead to better health. Using the right tools can help you stay on the right track.

Find more information on these apps or other health-care resources at luminohealth.ca.
