Access Bank CEO Herbert Wigwe Killed in Helicopter Crash

The family of late Herbert Wigwe, the former Group Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings Plc, has announced a 6-day arrangement for his burial rites, as well as Chizoba, his wife; and Chizi, his son.

Recall that Wigwe was involved in a chopper crash in the United States of America, alongside Chizoba and Chizi earlier this month.

Also, Mr. Abimbola Ogunbanjo, the former chairman of Nigerian Exchange Group Plc (NGX Group), was aboard the chopper, with every passenger confirmed dead hours later.

According to the burial programme, the funeral ceremony will commence with a celebration of the professional legacy of Wigwe at Eko Hotel and Suites on March 4, and will be concluded with an outing service at the Redeemed Christian Church Of God, RCCG, Lion of Judah Parish, Isiokpo in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State, on March 10.

The lives of Chizoba and Chizi will be celebrated in different ceremonies that will take place on March 5 at Eko Hotels and Suites in Lagos, before a night of tributes which will take place a day later at the same venue.

A combined service of songs will take place on March 7 at the RCCG, Resurrection Parish in Lekki, followed by a Christian wake-keeping at Wigwe University, Isiokpo in Ikwerre LGA, Rivers State.

The combined funeral and private interment service will take place on March 9.

Meanwhile, in the programme of events released, the RCCG the City of David Parish was not mentioned.
