Nigeria’s former Minister Solomon Dalung has criticized the administration of President Tinubu for consistently attributing Nigeria’s economic problems to former President, Muhammad Buhari.
In a series of posts on his X account recently, Dalung made it known that if Tinubu’s administration deployed the same resources and effort deployed during elections and tribunals to fight security and economic issues, major improvements could be achieved.
He stated that blaming Buhari for economic problems wouldn’t alleviate the hardships encountered by the people.
Also, he slammed the reckless economic policies implemented by Tinubu’s government, like subsidy withdrawal without adequate measures, currency devaluation without stimulating production, and high cost of governance.
While acknowledging Buhari’s failure to fulfil the “change” promise, Dalung noted that the responsibility for Nigeria’s economic woes lies with Tinubu’s government owing to its reckless policies. He demanded accountability and urged Tinubu’s administration to take responsibility for its actions rather than blaming others like Buhari.
