Ngozi Ugoh To Harvest Awards In February

In an unparalleled feat, Ngozi Ugoh, the esteemed Publisher of The Nigerian Canadian Newspaper, Canada, is set to be honored with three prestigious awards in February 2024, showcasing her remarkable contributions and influence.

First, on February 1, 2024, Ngozi Ugoh will be among the distinguished awardees at the City of Brampton’s Honouring 100 Black Community Builders and Champions event. The ceremony, taking place at The Rose Theatre in Brampton, will recognize her outstanding efforts as one of the 100 Black community builders and champions.

Following this, on Thursday, February 22nd, 2024, Ngozi Ugoh will be celebrated as one of the 100 Most Influential Black Canadians for 2023-2024. This recognition, bestowed upon her for being a game-changer and role model, will be part of the Black History Showcase presented by the 24-hour Afroglobal Television channel.

The event, scheduled at the Bellagio Event Centre in Vaughan, Canada, will commence at 6:00 PM, and certificates will be presented to acknowledge her impactful achievements.

Lastly, in a notable acknowledgment of her outstanding contributions to society, Mrs. Ngozi Ugoh will be recognized at the Black History Month Awards Ceremony organized by the Toronto Police Service, 13 Division, in collaboration with The British Methodist Episcopal Church.

The ceremony, slated for Sunday, February 25, 2024, at The British Methodist Episcopal Church on 1828 Eglinton Avenue West, aims to celebrate individuals from various fields for their exceptional heroism or a job well done.

Inspector Michelle Olszevski, Unit Commander of 13 Division, expressed her pleasure in informing Ugoh of this well-deserved recognition.

The event, scheduled to commence sharply at 3:30 pm, will witness the distinguished presence of Doctor/Reverend Chester Searles, Senior Pastor of The British Methodist Episcopal Church, alongside other dignitaries. A delightful reception in the lower auditorium of the Church will follow the ceremony, providing an opportunity to further celebrate Ngozi Ugoh’s impactful endeavors within the Nigerian-Canadian community, particularly her commitment to journalism and community engagement.

Mrs. Ngozi-Ugoh’s selection for this honor underscores not only her personal achievements but also the impact of The Nigerian Canadian Newspaper in fostering cultural awareness and community empowerment. The acknowledgment comes as a testament to her dedication to journalism, cultural preservation, and the betterment of the Nigerian-Canadian community.

The Black History Month Awards Ceremony is poised to be a celebration of excellence and community service, with Mrs. Ngozi-Ugoh at its forefront, embodying the spirit of achievement and positive influence.

The NCNC Boss has been a recipient of many awards of different categories, a clear indication of her immense contribution to nation-building.
