The late Mrs Augusta Elabor Oliogu was born on the 20th of August 1969 in Benin city at St Philomena’s Hospital to Prince Elder Christopher Akhere Elabor of Ubiaja, Esan South East Local Government Area, And Madam Patricia Ekuase Oni of Ogbebor N’Usen, Usen, Ovia South West Local Government Area, Edo State, Nigeria. Both of Blessed Memory.
Tragically, on July 29th, 2023, she passed away peacefully in her sleep, following a grueling 8-hour work shift. After returning home, she retired to her bed, but dawn never broke for her. She was supposed to rise for yet another shift the next day, her dedication and tireless work ethic evident in her unwavering commitment.
Her unyielding devotion spanned three long decades at Christian Horizon between 1993 and 2023, predominantly on the night shift, still she took a second full-time job at the Reena Foundation, where she toiled during the day, a grueling routine she maintained for the past eight years.
Such was the impact of her life and the void left by her passing that a closed casket became necessary, as the funeral home and the graveside service witnessed an overwhelming outpouring of love and respect. The magnitude of attendees overwhelmed the funeral home’s capacity, a testament to the indelible mark she left on countless lives.
In a poignant celebration of her life at the convention center, conspicuous by his absence was her husband, leaving only her family and children to pay tribute to her memory.
