Man’s Heartbreak Unveiled as DNA Tests Challenge Paternity of Four Children

Olanrewaju Kolawole, a 44-year-old native of Ikire in Osun State, found himself in a state of profound emotional distress when the results of a DNA test shattered his belief that he was the biological father of his four children. His wife, Mrs. Tella Toyin, shares these four children, aged 16, 12, 8, and 5, with him.

In response to the revelation, Toyin, his wife, expressed strong disagreement with the DNA results, casting doubt on the testing process. She stated, “I don’t accept the result. I don’t accept it because I was not there when they took samples, and I don’t know which sample they took, so I don’t accept it. I can’t accept it because I know how I conceived those children.”

The ordeal came to light during their appearance on the popular radio show ‘Kokoro Alate’ on Agidigbo FM in Ibadan, Oyo State, hosted by Oriyomi Hamzat. The initial DNA test of the first child had already revealed that the child was not biologically related to Kolawole, prompting him to conduct additional tests on the remaining three children, all of which returned negative results.

Kolawole expressed his distress, seeking support from fellow Nigerians, saying, “I want Nigerians to come to my rescue because I must not suffer this in vain. I married Toyin in 2007 and gave birth to four children. But none of the children belongs to me after findings from a DNA test.”

When asked about his decision to initiate the tests, Kolawole attributed it to suspicions of his wife’s behavior, leading him to believe that a paternity test was necessary. The DNA tests were conducted at the DDC DNA Diagnostic Centre in Osogbo. The couple, who belong to the same church in the Ikoyi area of Osun State, had been married since 2007.
