Daily rainfall likely this week in Brampton and Mississauga

According to Environment Canada’s weather forecast, it could be a rainy week in Brampton and Mississauga.

Meteorologists reveal that as of July 16, there is a 40% chance that the hot and muggy conditions could trigger a thunderstorm with wind speeds of up to 30 km/h, which will reduce by late evening.

Monday morning will be sunny with a temperature of 27 degree. Clouds may surpass the sky by the afternoon with a 40% chance of a thunderstorm that could persist overnight. The humidex will hit 31 with the UV index getting reaching an 8 or very high. Residents in Brampton and Mississauga will experience some discomfort due to this.

In conditions like this, Environment Canada urges individuals to tone down or change certain types of outdoor exercise, depending on the individual’s age, health, physical shape, and the type of clothes worn. If residents must work outdoors, they should drink plenty of liquids and take frequent rest breaks.

On Tuesday, there will be a mix of sun and clouds throughout the day with temperatures at 23 degree and a 30% chance of showers in the afternoon. Temperatures are expected to drop to 12 degree by the evening and skies will be crystal clear.

What happened on Tuesday will be replicated on Wednesday with warm temperatures and rain expected through the day and extending into the night.

On Thursday, there will be some sunny breaks but cloudy weather will occur most of the day. Temperatures will be at 24 degree and by the evening, it will fall to 15 degree with a 60% chance of precipitation accumulating between 5-10mm.

On Friday, temperatures will be in the low 20’s. It will be cloudy during the day with no sunshine in sight. Meteorologists expect a 60% chance of rainy periods during the morning and night.

The weekend will start with a mix of sun and clouds with temperatures above 20 degree with scattered showers predicted to enter the forecast at some point during the day.
