Nigerian chef, Hilda Bassey Effiong, famously known as Hilda Buci, has broken the Guinness World Record for longest cooking hours.

The chef recently smashed the 87 hours 45 minutes record held by former Guinness World Record holder, Lata Tondon.

Hilda started the competition at exactly 4pm on May 11, 2023 when she put on her cooker.

Hilda cooks on despite having broken the record as she wants to cook for 96 hours to set a new world record as the first human to spend such an amount of time cooking on earth.

The chef, who hopes to complete the task at 5 pm Nigerian time today has been getting massive support, especially from Nigerians, celebrities and politicians in the country.
