The government of Nova Scotia has announced plans to spend $8 million to establish modular housing for healthcare workers.
While announcing the plans, John Lohr, Minister of municipal affairs and housing, said the projects will provide transitional housing for healthcare workers in Nova Scotia until more permanent solutions are available.

Lohr said: “We need them all over the province, and when they come into some of these communities, they just have a hard time finding places to live. We’ve heard that repeatedly.”
Communities across Nova Scotia find it difficult to employ and retain staff due to limited housing and Lohr hopes modular housing can fill that gap.
