Highway closures for planned roadwork in Toronto (January 9, 2023)

Road closures this weekend will be accommodating city events like Bike for Brain Health and Do West Fest.

Commuters and other road users in Toronto should expect delays or plan to use an alternative route as eight closures have been scheduled by the Ministry of Transportation in Toronto on January 9, 2023 for roadwork on Highway 401.

The roadwork will take place at:

  • Highway 401 eastbound between Dufferin Street and Allen Road: one left lane closed from Jan. 9 at 10 p.m. until Jan. 10 at 5 a.m.
  • Highway 401 eastbound between Highway 400 and Morningside Avenue: two alternating lanes closed from Jan. 9 at 11 p.m. until Jan. 10 at 5 a.m.
  • Highway 401 eastbound between Neilson Road and Whites Road: two alternating lanes closed from Jan. 9 at 10 p.m. until Jan. 13 at 5 a.m.
  • Highway 401 eastbound express between Highway 400 and Morningside Avenue: two alternating lanes closed from Jan. 9 at 11 p.m. until Jan. 10 at 5 a.m.
  • Highway 401 eastbound express between Warden Avenue and Neilson Road: two alternating lanes closed until Jan. 13 at 5 a.m.
  • Highway 401 westbound between Morningside Avenue and Highway 400: two alternating lanes closed from Jan. 9 at 11 p.m. until Jan. 10 at 5 a.m.
  • Highway 401 westbound express between Morningside Avenue and Highway 400: two alternating lanes closed from Jan. 9 at 11 p.m. until Jan. 10 at 5 a.m.
  • Highway 401 westbound transfer at Morningside Avenue: one left lane closed until Jan. 10 at 5 a.m.
