According to reports, every staff of the New Brunswick fish processing plants has been tested for tuberculosis after an employee tested positive for the disease.
Joel Richardson, the spokesperson for Cooke Aquaculture, said an employee of True North Salmon Company (owned by Cooke Aquaculture) tested positive for active tuberculosis recently.

Richardson said a team from Public Health was at the plant to test employees and the results are expected to come in starting today.
He said: “We’re very grateful that all of our 87 employees have co-operated fully with Public Health to be screened for symptoms, and any employees who have been contacted for testing are required to complete testing this week before being permitted to resume work.”
