A man was rushed to the hospital after he was shot by a Calgary police officer after an incident that happened recently in northwest Calgary.
Police said a man in a parkade was located by officers but were not successful in an attempt to “de-escalate the situation over an extended period of time.”
“The situation ultimately escalated to a point that an officer discharged their service weapon. The man was immediately given medical care by officers and EMS who were on scene, and the man has since been transported to hospital in serious but stable condition.”
Police also revealed that an injured officer was also being treated on the site.
