According to Peel Regional Police data, there were over 300 reported assaults in Mississauga and Brampton over the last 30 days— an average of roughly 10 assaults per day.
The data shows that a total of 311 assault incidents occurred between October 27 and November 26, 2022.
The two cities witnessed almost the same number of reported assaults, with 157 of these incidents happening place in Mississauga and the other 154 taking in Brampton.

Police investigations reveal that 237 of these incidents are solved, 26 are still unsolved, and 47 incidents are still under investigation.
However, Police data did not indicate the severity of injuries suffered during each assault.
