Peel Regional Police have charged a man with drug and firearm offences during a regular stop.
Recently, a vehicle in a parking lot in the area of Silver Maple Ct. and Lisa St. in Brampton was investigated by the police and a loaded 22-calibre revolver as well as cannabis were seized.
22-year-old Leander Fernandes, from Brampton, is charged with knowledge of unapproved possession of a firearm, occupying a motor vehicle knowing there was a firearm, possessing a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm, careless retention of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition, knowledge of unauthorized possession of a weapon, possession of a firearm with serial number that is altered, and driving vehicle with cannabis readily available.
