WestJet has disclosed that a system-wide outage that led to delays and cancellations across its network has been averted and that further disruptions are expected.
The Calgary-based airline tweeted recently that all its systems were online and stable, and that teams were busy trying to recover from the outage.
According to the airline, the outage blocked its contact centre from accessing guest reservations.
No reason was provided for the outage.
Despite coming back online, the airline says it expects further upsets as it recovers from the outage.
WestJet also apologized to customers for the inconvenience.
