Nigeria’s freedom fighter, Sunday Igboho, has bagged an honorary doctorate degree.
The activist was recently honoured with the prestigious degree in Peace and Security Management/International Relations by Triune Biblical University, USA.
In photos that were posted online, Sunday Igboho was smiling as he received his doctorate degree.
It should be recalled that Sunday Igboho fled Nigeria after operatives of the Department of State Service (DSS) raided his Ibadan house on July 1, 2021.
He was declared wanted for allegedly storing arms and ammunition. Sunday spearheaded the fight against herders who were allegedly causing violence in the south-west.
He was arrested in Cotonou, Republic of Benin, on accusations of “criminal association” but was later granted bail so he could attend to his health.
