SAGA (Shola Agboola Goodwill Ambassador) Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) established as a Charity Foundation led by a top leadership representative and community leader in Canada, Shola Agboola, in its skills development support and mentorship to immigrants and youths in Canada has partnered with Canadian Armed Forces with the aim of increasing the enrollment of black Canadians in Canadian Armed Forces.
As a result of the partnership, the foundation held an event where Black Canadians learnt and explored opportunities on how to serve in the Canadian Military.

The event took place at Gym of Prendergast, Winnipeg, Manitoba and it was coordinated by Sylvester Oyamienlen.
During the event, MP James Bezan, the Conservative Shadow Minister for National Defense appreciated the contributions of Black Canadians towards the development of Canada and urged them to join Canadian Armed Forces.
After the event, Shola Agboola, the Founder of SAGA Foundation took to his Instagram Page to thank the coordinator of the event. He also gave credit to Hon. Shelly Glover, the former Federal Cabinet Minister who was also present at the event as the person that assisted in facilitating the program because of her love for the black community in Manitoba.
He wrote: “Today’s event of SAGA Foundation with the Canadian Armed Forces to learn and explore opportunities on how to serve in the Canadian Military for people in the black community was a success.
“It was a successful event being the first of its kind in our community. SAGA Foundation would continue to intensify efforts to engage more Canadian Institutions to bring awareness to our community as we continue to promote active citizenship and meaningful engagement among our people.
“Thanks to Sylvester Oyamienlen, the Coordinator of the event, Hon. Shelly Glover for significant support and guidance and I appreciate the presence of MP James Bezan, the Conservative Shadow Minister for National Defense for his words of engagement for the community.”
