The strike action embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) which halted universities in the country for eight months has been suspended.
The suspension followed a protracted meeting that took place on the intervention of the Federal House of Representatives.
Chris Piwuna, Vice-President of ASUU, confirmed the suspension in a recent statement.
