Two Nigerians murdered in Canada’s nightclub shooting

Two Nigerian men were killed and a woman was left in severe condition after a recent shooting took place at a nightclub in the city of Vaughan, Ontario.

While talking about the incident, the York Regional Police said it occurred around 3:30 am on July 23.

Upon their arrival at the scene, the police located three victims suffering from gunshot wounds.

In a recent news release, officers said that a 25-year-old man and a 22-year-old man identified as Tosin Amos Arowoshegbe and Chibueze Momah were both certified dead at the scene of the shooting.

Also, a 20-year-old woman was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The shooting occurred at ATL Lounge and its owners posted a message of condolences on Instagram in which it was revealed the two victims were employed as security guards at the lounge.

The message read: “With heavy hearts today we are deeply saddened by the senseless shooting that took place outside of ATL Lounge last night taking the lives of our security guards Eze and Tosin,

“Our prayers are with their friends and families during this extremely difficult time. Our prayers are also with the young lady that is in the hospital fighting to overcome her injuries; our deepest condolences.”

According to police, the suspect(s) fled the scene before they arrived. No descriptions have so far been released.
