Recently, many Canadians were unable to log into Twitter as the social media platform encountered service interruptions.
Users who were attempting to log in were taken to a page with the message, “This page is down.”
Ookla’s DownDetector revealed a spike of reports from Canadian users’ inability to use Twitter.
Later, DownDetector’s site got over 54,000 complaints, with 61 percent complaining about the Twitter app and around 30 percent complaining about issues with Twitter’s website.

Some users were able to access the platform later.
A map also reveals service interruptions across Ontario, Quebec and Maritime provinces, with DownDetector also revealing logging Twitter issues in Chicago, New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
The issue came at a time when Twitter sued Elon Musk for opting out of his deal to buy the platform.
