All things being equal, APC Presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, and the PDP presidential flag-bearer, Atiku Abubakar, will announce their running mates on Wednesday, June 15, and Tuesday, June 14 respectively.
According to reports, Tinubu will end his consultations with APC Governors on Tuesday, June 14, and announce his running mate Wednesday.
Sources in the APC have revealed that governors and other stakeholders have agreed that the NorthEast should produce the Vice Presidential candidate of the party.
On the other hand, Atiku is expected to announce his running mate on Tuesday. It remains unclear what side of the religious divide he will choose his running mate from.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has set June 17 as the deadline for every political party to submit their presidential and vice-presidential candidates for next year’s general elections.
