Former President of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan has said he did not authorize the purchase of presidential forms for him.
It should be recalled that a Northern group recently purchased the form for Jonathan and the group insisted he must run for president in 2023. According to the group, Jonathan is the only leader in Nigeria who has shown interest in Almajiris as he built them schools during his tenure.

In a statement signed by his media aide, Ikechukwu Eze, former President Jonathan said he was not aware and did not authorize any group to buy the form.
The statement read: “It has come to our notice that a group has purportedly purchased Presidential Nomination and Expression of Interest forms, of the All Progressives Congress APC, in the name of former President Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.
“We wish to categorically state that Dr Jonathan was not aware of this bid and did not authorize it.

“While we appreciate the overwhelming request by a cross-section of Nigerians, for Dr Jonathan to make himself available for the 2023 Presidential election, we wish to state, that he has not in any way, committed himself to this request.”
