Cristiano Ronaldo scored on his Manchester United matchday squad return but the goal amounted to nothing as they lost 3-1 to Arsenal.
The Premier League match that was played at the Emirates Stadium saw Arsenal boost their top-four hopes with a great win over Manchester United.

In the previous match, Arsenal defeated Chelsea 4-2 and ended their three-game losing run.
Nuno Tavares scored the first goal for Arsenal in the third minute after errors from Raphael Varane and Alex Telles before Bukayo Saka scored a penalty in the 32nd minute to put Arsenal 2-0 up.
Ronaldo gave the visitors hope in the 34th minute, but Bruno Fernandes missed a penalty kick to keep the game level before Granit Xhaka sealed the win by scoring Arsenal’s third goal from 25 yards with 20 minutes to play.

Arsenal have dented United’s hope of reaching the top four and it is now a battle between the Gunners and Tottenham Hotspur.
