The Government of Nigeria has ordered that offices in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja should close early today in a bid to garner support for the Super Eagles.

The Super Eagles will play against the Black Stars of Ghana in the return leg of their 2022 FIFA World Cup playoff at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja.
In a memo to every permanent secretary from the office of the Head of Service of the Federation, civil servants were informed that there was a need to support the national team.

Part of the memo read: “There is a need to mobilize support for the Nigerian Team. Consequently, I am directed to inform you that all offices will be closed at 1 pm on Tuesday, March 29, 2022.”
The Super Eagles played a goalless draw with Ghana in the first leg of the tie in Kumasi, Ghana last week, and are seeking a win today to qualify for Qatar 2022 World Cup.
