The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has recalled Stellar Bay Shellfish brand, Chef Creek Oysters, over possible norovirus contamination.
The oysters were harvested in Deep Bay, B.C. on March 3, 2022.

According to CFIA, the oysters may have been served in hotels and restaurants.
Customers have been told to throw out the oysters, or take them to their place of purchase.
There have been reported cases of illness associated with the product, with symptoms like diarrhea, vomiting, nausea and stomach cramps, low-grade fever, headache, chills, muscle aches and fatigue.

The CFIA said the recall was facilitated by findings during its investigation into a foodborne illness outbreak, which may trigger other recalls.
