Super Eagles and Napoli forward, Victor Osimhen sustained face injury during Napoli’s defeat to Inter Milan recently in Serie A.
Osimhen was rushed to the San Raffaele Hospital for tests after the player was diagnosed with head trauma.
Napoli was beaten for the first time in the league since the season started, going down 3-2 at Inter Milan.
Osimhen appeared to have fractured his cheekbone when his head clashed with Milan Skriniar’s head when the game was hot.
During the collision, the back of Skriniar’s head hit Osimhen on the cheekbone and became worse.
Seconds after the clash, Osimhen looked visibly dazed with his eye and cheek swollen, which suggest a possible fracture.
With the loss, Inter Milan threw the title race wide open with Luciano Spalletti side still topping the league with 32 points. AC Milan are second with 32 points and inferior goal difference while Inter are third with 28 points.
