Former Mr Olympia champion Shawn Rhoden has died. He died at the age of 46 after suffering a heart attack
Rhoden won the Olympia at the age of 43 and became the oldest ever to win the title. His death was confirmed by the sporting legend’s trainer, Chris Aceto.

Many athletes and bodybuilders have come forward to offer their condolences to the late bodybuilder. Iconic bodybuilder, Rich Gaspari, also took to Twitter to condole the death of Rhoden on Twitter. He tweeted: “I am shocked to hear of the passing of Mr. Olympia @flexatronrhoden It’s very sad to hear of his passing. He had always been a gentleman towards me. Shawn had one of the most aesthetic physiques in bodybuilding. My condolences to his family. #rip #ripbrother.
Rhoden got into bodybuilding as an amateur in the early 90s and kept appearing and disappearing over the years for competitions. Rhoden became a professional in 2010 and ended up in 11th place at his first Mr Olympia. Rhoden shocked everyone by coming third finish during his return, the following year. In 2018, he won outrightly and ultimately took the trophy home.
In 2019, he was accused of sexually harassing a female bodybuilder in Utah in 2018. The allegation put him under investigation but he was never convicted of any crime.
