Nigeria’s newly launched digital currency, eNaira’s app can no longer be downloaded on Google Playstore just 2 days after its launch.
The digital currency was launched by President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, recently.
The disappearance of the app was detected by some Nigerians who tried to download the new product.
Meanwhile, there are reports that the app has been upgraded to be at par with new requirements.
However, its iOS version can still be downloaded on the Apple App Store.
Nigerians who were disappointed by the removal of the app on Google Playstore condemned the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) for entering the market with a “premature product.”
Before its removal, the app recorded over 100,000 downloads with thousands of people grumbling over the challenges connected with the system.
