The popular rapper and singer Ice prince, whose real name is Pushak Zamani has been released on bail following his detainment in prison. He was arraigned at the Magistrate Court where he pleaded ‘not guilty’ and was remanded in Ikoyi Correctional Centre.
Recall that Ice Prince was arrested on September 2, 2022, for allegedly abducting and threatening a Police Officer.
Before his arrest, he was stopped at a checkpoint at 3.00 a.m for driving without license plates. He agreed to go to the station but abducted the officer in his car, assaulted him, and threatened to throw him into a river.
According to Benjamin Hundeyin, the Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Police Command, he was detained until his bail conditions were met. For this, he was asked to provide a sum of 500,000 and two sureties with the same sum.
His incarceration has brewed a lot of reactions among his colleagues such as Paul Okoye and Innocent Idibia, also known as Tuface who captioned a post on his ‘officialtubaba’ Instagram page with the tag #FREEICEPRINCE.
